| Commentary | Pinkenba is a mainly industrial suburb stretching from the mouth of the Brisbane River to the Royal Queensland Golf Club and Gateway Bridge. Located on the northern side of the River, Pinkenba is home to numerous wharves and industrial plants such as the BP Oil Refinery on Bulwer Island. A small pocket of homes exists around McBride Road and neighbouring suburbs provide residents with amenities and services. The nearby suburbs of Ascot and Hendra complement Pinkenba State School and provide residents with the option of public and private schools. Pinkenba Recreational Reserve offers a small amount of greenery in an industrial environment.
