| Commentary | As one of Brisbane's inner-western city suburbs, Red Hill has benefited from investor interest and strong growth in median house prices. It is one of the oldest suburbs in Brisbane with a rich history and unique character, and it only takes minutes to get to the CBD by car. In recent decades, the suburb has attracted renewed interest and, as such, many of its older workers' cottages, Queenslanders and colonials have been renovated. These renovations -- which have retained the character of the original homes -- along with the suburb's proximity to the CBD, have contributed to increasing median sales prices. St Brigid's Catholic Church is a unique landmark in the area. The design of the red brick church was based on the fortress churches built during the Middle Ages. The suburb is popular with owner-occupier professionals working in the CBD and has a healthy rental market based on young city workers and students who attend classes at the nearby QUT Kelvin Grove campus.
