Runcorn primary and high schools service the area's educational needs and Griffith University is in close proximity for those undertaking tertiary education. Steady demand for housing in the area has seen extensive townhouse developments around Runcorn in recent years. They have been supplemented by developments in Kuraby and Ridgewood.
