Commentary	With easy access from the Pacific Highway, Springwood is approximately 20km south of Brisbane's CBD. Home buyers can choose from an array of housing including newer architecturally designed homes and older style brick-and-tile dwellings. The predominant housing style in the suburb is late 20th Century brick veneer as well as chamferboard. Springwood has been developing since the late 1960s and has a range of retail and community facilities including Springwood High School, John Paul College, Springwood Mall and the Arndale Shopping Centre. In addition the suburb is home to various home centres including IKEA and Freedom Furniture, which ensure Saturday mornings are a hive of activity. The suburb has also benefited from the completion of the South-East Busway project.
