Commentary	Located in Logan Shire, Marsden offers an affordable mix of older-style cottages, brick and tile houses, as well as new homes. One of its selling points is the size of blocks in Marsden - many are more than 800sq m. New developments in the area offer these larger blocks, while the suburb also has areas that haven't yet been developed. Marsden is bordered by major roads and is within easy commuting distance of the Brisbane CBD and the Gold Coast by road, rail and bus. Nearby Logan City, however, offers significant employment opportunities with more than 7000 businesses as does Marsden itself. The suburb is within easy access of a number of shopping facilities. There is the Marsden Fair Shopping Centre and the Marsden Park Shopping Centre, which also houses the public library.
