Profile for Waterford West |
|
| Local Government Authority | Logan City |
| Location | 26 km to Brisbane |
| Features | Rural setting reflected in larger homes and blocks. |
| Commentary | Waterford West has retained its rural Logan Shire appeal. Houses tend to be larger and set on acreages ranging from big to small. There is a rural feel to the suburb that is particularly unique given it is less than 30km from Brisbane. There is one primary and one second school in the area with the Waterford Plaza being the largest retail outlet in the district. Waterford West is located close to the Logan motorway and Loganlea train station making commuting to Brisbane or the Gold Coast a viable option. There are still plenty of green spaces to be found in the area. Evergreen Park, in nearby Loganlea, has barbecue facilities and the area around Tygum Lagoon is proving to be consistently popular with families. Henry Jordan Park, which runs along the Logan River, is popular for fishing. Source: REIQ |
