| Commentary | Pallara runs off the Logan Motorway west of Larapinta, about 21km south of the Brisbane CBD. There has been very little development in Pallara, and the suburb is dominated by acreage properties and hobby farms. The area is also abundant with parks and is close to the Blunder Road Parklands. Pallara's proximity to the Greenbank Military Camp and the Logan Motorway make the suburb attractive to army personnel as well as first and second home buyers. The suburb has its own state school, although older students have to travel further afield to go to school. The Australian International Islamic College is located in neighbouring Durack and Forest Lake Secondary College is about 6km west of the Pallara. Many major facilities are also located at Forest Lake, including supermarkets, a post office, restaurants, and doctors. Source: REIQ. |
